Grinding Machines

Electric Furnaces and Ovens
Hygiene Extraction

Duties will include:

Maintenance - repairing worn/damaged plant and machinery
Plumbing  - water and waste systems maintenance
Electrical  - repairs to factory lights and machines
Carpentry - making boxes for packaging repairs/maintenance to factory
Building  - repairs/maintenance to factory 
Odd Jobs - Must not mind doing menial tasks such as cleaning/tidying/organizing

Our Client currently has an opportunity for a Quality Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EHS) Manager to take responsibility for the implementation of EHS practises and policies, ensuring that management and employees are working in a safe environment and respect and understand their responsibilities towards EHS. You will drive strong improvement in key areas of Safety and Hygiene, Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Management Systems.

Managing the Quality Team, including performance management, you will set department objectives, coordinate and implement Risk Assessments and Audits, ensuring that all staff are instructed and trained on EHS and that all necessary requirements are met and rules are strictly respected throughout the plant. 

Monitoring carefully and efficiently all safety and environmental issues, you will resolve supply problems and lead the ongoing development of the Plant Management System (ISO9000-2000) ensuring continued improvements in Spoilage reduction and general Cost of Non Quality (CNQ), whilst assuring quality-related targets are met in line with budgets.

The successful candidate for this role will have proven experience within a manufacturing environment; will have a qualification in Business or Engineering with specialisation in the area of Quality Management knowledge. Candidates must hold a NEBOSH Diploma and a level 2 award in Food Safety for manufacturing. A Foundation Certificate in HACCP, IQMS Internal Auditor and experience of the standards our Client are audited to including 9001, 14001, 18001 and BRC would be desirable, however is not essential. Excellent communication skills along with competency in Microsoft Office Package are essential for this role.
